For the love of Photography...

One of the things I strongly believe in, is that when you love something, it's on your mind always. Photography to me, is not a sometimes thing, it's always on my mind. As I see beautiful things surround me in life, whether it's people, places or things... I want to photograph it, so I never forget it. This is not a business to me... it's an inclination of the heart. Photography and Poetry are two of my favorite things. So, as I see the world around me and capture beauty through the lens, I also remind myself of how truly blessed I am.

New York state of mind

What can I say, Rudy and I are New yorkers at heart. NYC is home sweet home to us. As we take frequent enough trips to visit friends and family back home, we always make time to visit the City. Here are just a few pictures we've taken, that leave us nostalgic for our home town.

At Home Studio Time!

I must admit, I am not a good blogger, although I love to write. But here I go, starting up again. So, about 2 weekends ago, I had some friends over for dinner. We ate, chatted and had a good time. I then thought of how great it would be to use my little at home studio to take photos with my friends. Well, it turned into a laugh fest and we couldn't get out from in front of the camera. What fun! Here are a few photos we captured!

The Quiñones Family - NYC

This Photoshoot I must say has been one of my favorites. Not because the subjects are my brother, sister in law and niece, but because the time of day was perfect. The sun perfectly sunkissed each of these photos and everyone was in such a good mood. Rudy and I worked together shooting these. He is also the best at making people laugh, so many of these shots are the direct result of his humor! I can also say that this was the first photoshoot where we shot completely in manual mode. ISO 200 / F-Stop between 1.4 and 4.5. The 1.4 used for shorter depth of field. We walked away happy and with photos to prove it! Enjoy!

Cinderella's Castle Suite (Sweet!)

As a Disney cast member, I was given the opportunity to take a VIP tour of the new Cinderella Castle Suite, located in Cinderella's Castle in the Magic Kingdom. After the initial shock of seeing this gorgeous suite, I turned on my camera, and away I went. Highlight: Cinderella even let me use her vanity mirror. Below are a few photos I was able to snap. Wedding Bells for Yanet

Here are a few pictures of a small wedding we got to photograph. A lot of our friends attended the small wedding. It was a fun night and always a treat to photograph the newlyweds!

Nataly & Fernando are Engaged!

We offered our friends Nataly & Fernando an engagement session as a gift. I must say, although I enjoyed photographing them, it was one of the hottest days in June. The sun was right overhead and casted lots of shadows. As photographers we prefer the time just before sunset, as the lighting doesn't create harsh shadows on the skin. But, all in all, the photos were amazing and we made it work. 2 of the below photos were featured on Nataly & Fernando's wedding invitation. Something we were excited about! I have also included a few photos from their wedding day that Rudy and I were able to get.
